CnEVPost Newsletter: China EV insurance registrations; Tesla price hike
Between November 1 and November 12, Nio vehicles had 5,700 insurance registrations in China, Xpeng 6,100, Li Auto 15,400, and Tesla 22,900.
The final judgment upheld the original verdict, requiring the owner of the Douyin account Cheshiji to post an apology to Nio for thirty consecutive days and pay RMB300,000 in damages.
The Xpeng X9 will compete head-to-head with the Li Mega, a Li Auto MPV that will also be unveiled and go on pre-sale on November 17, the first day of the Guangzhou auto show.
Audi's models, including the Q6L e-tron that will begin mass production in China next year will be powered by BYD's blade batteries as well as CATL's ternary batteries, according to local media.
Yangwang will unveil a supercar platform as well as a concept car based on its e⁴ technology on the first day of the Guangzhou auto show.
This is a continuation of Tesla's price hike last week, when it raised the prices of the long-range versions of the Model 3 and Model Y slightly on November 9 in China.
