CnEVPost Newsletter: Nio to announce 1st partner to share it's battery swap network
The first brand to partner with Nio on battery swap could be China FAW Group's high-end EV brand Hongqi, according to local media.
Nio will share its next-generation battery pack standard, the 800 V high-voltage, fast battery swap platform, with the entire industry, said William Li.
About 80 percent of the power supplied by Nio's chargers is used by other brands of EVs, with BYD models using 19.4 percent and Tesla 12.3 percent.
Nio will have heavyweight product and model launches at this year's Nio Day event, the company's president, Qin Lihong, said in an audio program.
"Nio will not go out of business, and there is absolutely no possibility of it going out of business," the company's president said in a speech.
BYD began pre-sales of the Song L on October 31, with a price range of RMB 220,000 to RMB 280,000 for the pre-sale.
The Sea Lion will become BYD's SUV series for the Ocean lineup, with the Sea Lion 05 debuting next year, and more models including the Sea Lion 06 coming in the future, an executive said.
The sodium battery base is planned to have a total investment of RMB 10 billion and an annual capacity of 30 GWh.
The planned annual capacity of Zoolnasm's manufacturing facility includes 20 GWh of sodium-ion battery cells and 10 GWh of sodium-ion battery systems.
