Xpeng and Volkswagen will initially co-develop two B-segment BEVs sold under the Volkswagen brand in the Chinese market using Xpeng's G9 platform and ADAS software, with production expected to begin in 2026.
My question is: Who are the other big car companies out there that need to partner with one of the Chinese electric car companies to quickly get into the EV space in China (Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM). The next question is, who would be a good Chinese EV manufacturer to partner with? (NIO comes to mind as they are already establishing themselves in Europe and want to figure out how to get into the US market).
